Inconel 925 sheet offers excellent corrosion resistance and performs well throughout a wide range of temperatures. It is a nonmagnetic nickel-chromium alloy with high temperature strength comparable to 18-8 alloys. Alloy 925 sheet performs well in temperatures ranging from cryogenic up to 2000°F and has high resistance to organic and inorganic corrosives. The high nickel content in the alloy provides excellent resistance to alkaline solutions and chloride-ion stress cracking. Chromium content gives the alloy resistance to sulfur compounds. It is also resistant to steam, steam/air mixtures and carbon dioxide. It has good workability and is weldable.
